GAME BASED LEARNING LESSON PLAN
LESSON TOPIC:
Math Review
INTRODUCTION:
Students will play a series of online digital math games that brush on geometrical shapes and numbers sense. This lesson will help them practice and strengthen their math skills that they’ve already learned. This lesson is intended to gauge the knowledge and understanding that the students have on various math topics.

LEARNING ACTIVITIES:
As class begins the teacher will notify students that they will be reviewing math topics through the use of online digital games. Students will be using the computer lab. Each student will login to a computer and visit three different websites that will be provided by the teacher. Each game will be timed by the teacher. This is a fun, interactive, and engaging lesson for students.

As class begins the teacher will notify students that they will be reviewing math topics through the use of online digital games. Students will be using the computer lab. Each student will login to a computer and visit three different websites that will be provided by the teacher. Each game will be timed by the teacher. This is a fun, interactive, and engaging lesson for students.
- GAME #1: Students will be given 20 minutes to play “Pearl Diver”. This digital game will focus on number and operation standards, such as number line sense, whole numbers, decimals, mixed numbers, and fractions. It will help the students with understanding and representing numbers.
- GAME #2: Students will have 20 minutes to play “GATE”. This game was designed to strengthen number sense, specifically around place value. Students will learn how to build numbers in multiple ways, using additions, and multiples.
- GAME #3: Students will have another 20 minutes to play “Racing Shapes”. This game will revisit geometrical shapes. It will help them learn shapes and ordinals.
